Playa de las Canteras is 3 kilometers long and is located in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the north of the island. It is one of the best urban beaches in Europe, where you can see wonderful species such as parrot fish, wrasses, damsels or sea bream, among others.
This is a highly recommended space where you can snorkel in Gran Canaria and enjoy this adventure to the fullest. It stands out for its reefs and wide areas of marine flora.
To get to the Cabrón Marine Reserve, you must go to the town of Arinaga and cross a dirt road or park before the start of that small road and walk to cover the rest of the way to the beach.
It is characterized by being a beach with a lot of underwater visibility. From here you can observe spectacular colorful fish, mollusks and cephalopods.
Some species such as barracudas, rays, spiny tambourines, octopus, cuttlefish, bream, among others, can also be seen just a few meters from the surface. Also, some fish found in puddles such as sponges, sea cucumbers, fulas, among others.

This town in the municipality of Gáldar is considered one of the best options for snorkeling or diving in Gran Canaria. Sardina del Norte is located between rocky formations that meet in a sandy beach and can be accessed by car via a road that leads to the beach or by a stone staircase that connects directly with the dock.
In Sardina del Norte there are large marine species that surprise even the most knowledgeable about the seabed, such as: Angel sharks, large rays and even whale sharks can be found. It is distinguished by its shallow bottoms without currents, which are perfect for those looking to start snorkeling in Gran Canaria.
It has a wide visibility and its funds are in excellent condition. Here you can snorkel perfectly both day and night, since with a flashlight you can live the experience of observing the marine explosion of the place.
In this environment you will be able to observe the Canarian lobsters, octopus, holothurians and sometimes even seahorses, as well as the pejesapo, San Pedro roosters, angel sharks and tablecloths that are in the sand.
In addition, being ideal for snorkeling, in Sardina del Norte you can taste some delicious Canarian fish dishes in the premises that are next to the pier.
Risco Verde is a small and sheltered bay on the coast of the municipality of Arinaga and is ideal for snorkeling in Gran Canaria. It can be reached through a staircase that is located next to the López de Orduña de Arinaga seafront.
In Risco Verde you can take a well-defined route, since it does not have high currents. It is a highly recommended beach to fully experience snorkeling in Gran Canaria, standing out for having a combination of veril, sand and platform that will please people looking for a well-kept seabed for their observation.
This beach in the municipality of Arucas is especially recommended for Snorkel in Gran Canaria, because due to its location the water is very calm and is full of crustaceans and small fish. You can enter the water from the beach and observe the small fish that hide under the rock formations.
El Puertillo has facilities around it and can be reached by car. Its sand is very peculiar, and it has two natural rock pools.
