So many destinations to visit and places to explore in the world! That is why in Lopesan Group we want to provide you a complete travel guide on what to see in Fuerteventura in 4 days during your holidays. Would you like to visit this island?
Fuerteventura is a destination plenty of surprises you must visit. If you add the fact that it has one of the best climates not only in Spain, but in the whole world, we are sure that you will not think it twice.
Despite its size, in these 4 days you can venture from north to south along the coast of the “Majorero” territory, the name of this Canary Island given by its habitants. What to see in Fuerteventura in 4 days? Find out with us!
Before starting the guide route about what to see in Fuerteventura in 4 days, we think it is important to show you some interesting details of the island that may encourage you to visit it:
We are going to tell you our recommendations about places you can see in Fuerteventura in 4 days. We have prepared a list with destinations you should visit if you are on the island. Let’s go!
In the north of the island, we find one of the most important tourist centres of Fuerteventura, Corralejo, where in just one day you can visit several must-see places such as its amazing dunes, which is the largest sandy area of the Canary Islands. They cover 2,6000 hectares of the pure desert, perfect for adventure lovers.
If you want to spend a completely different moment in Corralejo you must go to Acua Water Park, a water park with high slides and wave pools, perfect for the whole family.
Finish your day in Plaza Patricio Calero, the “Heart of Corralejo”, where much of the social and cultural life of the town takes place. It is the starting point for walking and finding a good restaurant or bar and taste the best of Fuerteventura’s typical food.
After visiting the north part of Fuerteventura, from Corralejo there are several excursions to Isla de Lobos, where you can spend a relaxing or adventurous day, depending on what you are looking for.
Ferries leave from the port of Corralejo for this idyllic island every half hour, as the route there takes just 15 minutes. Once you disembark, you will find the waters so crystal-clear that they may seem unreal at first sight. Once inside the Isla de Lobos, you can visit the peaceful Playa de la Concha and further inland is the circular route to La Caldera, a natural area you can enjoy in a group or alone.
Without any doubt, in this guide about what to see in Fuerteventura in 4 days you cannot miss the fantastic Isla de Lobos. However, due to the preservation of the landscape and the environment, tourists are only allowed to enjoy the island for 4 hours, so once back, from Corralejo you can go to another charming destination: El Cotillo.
The coastal village El Cotillo is another amazing town in La Oliva. This place is perfect to sit down and eat a good fresh fish with the typical Canarian “papas arrugadas”. Then you can walk through its picturesque streets and reach its lighthouse, which is one of the magical spots where you can enjoy an incredible sunset.
Continuing the route about what to see in Fuerteventura in 4 days, we left the paradisiacal islands behind to enter one of the most interesting places of the island, Betancuria, where you can know most of its history and, at the same time, discover a different perspective of the island.
The old town of Betancuria takes you back in time to the “Majorera” island’s past with its streets and buildings. This is an example that this destination is important due to its majestic natural spots and its rich culture.
Its main attraction is the Church of Santa María, which combines Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Mudejar elements inside and outside. El Convent of San Buenaventura and the Archaeological Museum are other essential places in Betancuria.
Arriving at the south of Fuerteventura, you will find the beaches that are probably considered to be the best on the whole island, among which we highlight Playa de Cofete, located in the amazing Jandía Natural Park.
The landscape looks like something out of a film, with its 13.7 km long and 50 m wide of golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Here you can learn about the history of the island in the Aldea de Cofete, the cemetery and the mansion or Villa Winter.
The adventure does not finish here, 40 minutes by car you will reach the wonderful town of Morro Jable, which is a tourist reference due to its beaches and emblematic spots, such as the Saladar de Jandía (protected wetland), the Faro del Morro Jable in the Matorral or the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, among others.
Now you know what to see in Fuerteventura in 4 days, you just need to pack your suitcase, buy a flight ticket … and book a… hotel.
To visit one of these incredible places, in Lopesan Group we have an excellent stay offer. If you need more information about our hotels and offers, visit us on our website and plan your dream trip. Start your adventure!
