Morro Jable

Matorral

Due its strategic location, you will be able to admire the amazing sunsets. It’s also considered a protected natural area, because of its vegetation able to survive saltwater floodings that usually happen during high tides.

Risco

While the beaches above mentioned tend to be visited by a considerable amount of tourists, Risco beach is characterized by its apparent isolation and small urbanization around. It is close to Jandia beach and has quite ample car park.

This beach is known by its strong winds and waves, making it the favorite beach for windsurfers. However, if you like swimming, you’d better wait for a windless day to visit it.

Butihondo

Butihondo beach, also known as Esquinzo beach is located between the base level of the Butihondo ravine and the Esquinzo ravine.

This beach is one and half kilometers long and characterized by its golden sand and soft wind during the whole year. There you can find several establishments that offer hammocks and umbrellas rental so you can rest more comfortably.

Butihondo beach can be reached on foot or by car, taking the road detour from the highway. There are some parking spaces located only a few meters near the Morro Jable bus stops, if you want to visit other places of the island.
