La C\u00edcer, in Las Canteras, is one of the most popular beaches for surfers. Punta Brava<\/strong>, as it used to be called, is considered the cradle of this sport<\/strong>, as it was the enclave where beginners gathered to catch their first waves when this discipline was still in its infancy in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It starts at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, the southern end of the coastal path, and continues to La Pe\u00f1a. It is a beach suitable for all levels of surfers<\/strong> and bodyboarders<\/strong>, especially beginners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As there is no barrier to slow down the swell, as there is at other beaches in the area, it is the place where the biggest waves are created.

Along with Lloret in Las Canteras, Confital beach is one of the best surfing spots<\/strong> in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. With one of the best reef breaks in Europe, it is a regular venue for some of the most important world championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This beach belongs to the municipality of Santa Mar\u00eda de Gu\u00eda de Gran Canaria, in the northwest of the island. It has volcanic sand and pebbles<\/strong> and is very popular with surfing and bodyboarding enthusiasts. The waves at Vagabundos beach are fast and break to the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The break is about 50 metres from the shore, as at this distance the sandy seabed rises almost to the surface at low tide. This creates waves of one to two metres<\/strong>, with sequences for tube surfing and technically challenging manoeuvres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
