But a massacre of innocent civilians will change everything, as he is torn between reporting his leader or not. The director chose Fuerteventura <\/strong>to recreate the village of Mojammad Kalay in southern Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4L (2019)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This Spanish film is about Tocho (Hovik Keuchkerian) and Jean Pierre (Jena Reno) who learn that a friend (Quique San Francisco) is ill. They decide to visit him in Mali to reminisce about the trips the three of them took in the 1980s. They cross Africa in a car they affectionately call “4 latas” (as in \u201cold banger\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Exotic and faraway worlds recreated in Fuerteventura were the setting for this Star Wars spin-off<\/strong>, turning the island into a stunning natural backdrop that added realism and grandeur to the Han Solo story. Solo (2018)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This film, shot entirely on Fuerteventura<\/strong>, takes place on the island itself. In September 2014, \u00c1lvaro, a young surfer, is in search of the perfect wave. But an accident when he falls from a very inaccessible cliff leaves him in indescribable agony for 48 hours<\/strong>, with a badly injured body and broken bones. The film is based on real events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (2018)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this film, Toby, a film director, gets caught up in the madness of an old Spanish shoemaker who thinks he is Don Quixote. This leads him on a series of unique adventures that will make you laugh more than once. Toby will also have to face the consequences of a film he made when he was young. The director, Terry Gilliam<\/strong>, spent 8 days filming on Fuerteventura<\/strong> in different locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allied (2016)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This film starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard<\/strong> tells the story of the French protectorate of Morocco in 1942, at the time of the Second World War. Brad Pitt plays a Canadian spy who poses as the husband of a Frenchwoman (Marion Cotillard) who is a member of the Resistance. The film takes place during a mission they have to carry out in North Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lighthouse of the Whales (2016)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This Spanish production<\/strong>, starring Maribel Verd\u00fa and Joaquin Furriel, tells an emotional story. Lola and her son Trist\u00e1n, who suffers from autism, travel to Patagonia to improve his life through contact with orcas. The film shows the landscapes of Jand\u00eda and Las Playitas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mine (2016)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this film, which recreates the adventure of Armie Harmer, we travel to the Middle East without leaving the Canary Islands. This soldier has the misfortune to step on a mine and is trapped in the desert with all the dangers that entails. The film was shot in Fuerteventura<\/strong>, in the Dunes of Corralejo<\/strong>, and almost the entire film is shot there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exodus. Gods and Kings (2014)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A film directed by Ridley Scott<\/strong> and starring none other than Christopher Bale<\/strong>. In it, Moses defies Ramses to free 600,000 slaves. In the film, you can experience the escape through Egypt to reach the Promised Land. If you want to see the set of the film from the inside, you need to go to Las Pe\u00f1itas<\/strong>, where the director created a small village. Cofete <\/strong>is also part of the images we see in Exodus: Gods and Kings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
