Meloneras, 6th February 2025 – The Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort & Spa consolidated its position in 2024 as one of the most sought-after luxury hotels in Spain, according to the online booking portal eBooking.com. The annual analysis, recently published by the platform, highlights the iconic hotel in the south of Gran Canaria as the fourth most in-demand establishment in the Premium segment nationwide, and the only Canarian hotel to feature so prominently in this ranking.
The volume of bookings in high-end hotels registered on the platform exceeded 4.8% of the total volume of travellers in Spain last year, a similar figure to the 4.7% achieved in 2022.

The director of eBooking.com, Toni Raurich, specified that “in 2022, we had an average price in the luxury category that ranged between €360 and €450 per night. However, in 2024, this type of accommodation, which in almost all cases consists of 5-star hotels and resorts, had an average price of €500 per night,” Raurich pointed out, emphasising the direct impact on the economy of the cities and destinations in which these Premium establishments operate.
Regarding the nationality of the clients who made the most bookings in the luxury segment in Spain last year, according to this study by the online platform, Spaniards stand out, accounting for 57.1% of the total volume, while the French market represented 9.3%. Italy, for its part, closed the top three, with 4.4%. British travellers accounted for fourth place with 3.3%, and Swiss travellers finished in fifth place, with 3.1% of the stays recorded by eBooking.com.
