1. El Salmo viewpoint
If you want to enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the beautiful Playa de Sotavento, don’t leave the island without visiting the El Salmo viewpoint. From this excellent viewpoint in Fuerteventura you can see the beaches of Sotavento and its turquoise waters. The views from here are spectacular, as it covers part of Sotavento Beach and its lagoon.
To reach this viewpoint, take the FV-2 road towards Morro Jable, take the exit towards Mal Nombre and at the roundabout take the FV-602 road. Once you pass the Playa del Salmo sign, take the turning to the right at km 75.
2. Morro Velosa viewpoint
One of the best-known viewpoints on Fuerteventura is Morro Velosa, located in the Santa Inés Valley at an altitude of 669 metres, in the town of Betancuria. To get there, take the FV-30 road.
From the Morro Velosa viewpoint you can see a large part of the north and centre of the island, as well as Tindaya and other marvellous places on Fuerteventura.
This viewpoint was built by the famous Canarian architect César Manrique to promote tourism on the island, so we recommend you plan your visit in advance, as it is open from 10am to 6pm, from Tuesday to Saturday.
The Morro Velosa viewpoint is also an astronomical viewpoint on Fuerteventura. Thanks to its altitude, this natural vantage point offers a space without light pollution so that you can observe the starry sky.

3. Vallebrón viewpoint
If you want to observe the magic of Tindaya from the heights, you cannot miss the opportunity to visit the Mirador de Vallebrón viewpoint, better known as the Degollada de Valle Grande, which is also a very popular hiking route for locals and tourists.
To access these spectacular views, take the FV-10 road.
4. Las Peñitas viewpoint in Fuerteventura
Take the FV-30 road from Betancuria to reach the municipality of Pájara, and you will find one of the most beautiful views on the whole island, the Mirador de las Peñitas.
At the Mirador de las Peñitas viewpoint in Fuerteventura you can appreciate a spectacular natural oasis formed by the meeting of an underground tributary with rocky slopes of volcanic origin.
5. Guise and Ayose viewpoint
Each of Fuerteventura’s viewpoints has its own unique and special touch, and the Mirador de Guise y Ayose is no exception.
When you visit the Mirador de Guise y Ayose, located in Betancuria, you will come across a fundamental part of the island’s history: as soon as you enter this viewpoint you will be greeted by two 4-metre high statues symbolising the ancient kings of the island: Guise and Ayose.
To reach this place and discover its charm, you will have to take the FV-30 road. From this viewpoint you can enjoy incredible views of the volcanic north of the island.
6. Risco de las Peñas viewpoint
Its 426 m height makes the Risco de las Peñas one of the highest viewpoints in Fuerteventura. So, if you love heights and dreamlike landscapes, you can’t miss the opportunity to visit this place.
To get to the Mirador del Risco de las Peñas, which is located between Betancuria and Pájara, take the FV-30 road that connects both municipalities.
7. Cofete viewpoints
Cofete Beach is one of the favourite places for tourists and locals alike thanks to its wild, almost untouched beauty.This spectacular natural spot, 13.7 km long, is located on the Jandía peninsula and has several viewpoints from which you can enjoy the most breathtaking views. You must take the PR-FV 55 Gran Valle – Cofete for 6.80 km or the Jandía road to reach this spectacular destination.

8.Punta Pesebre viewpoint
Another of Fuerteventura’s viewpoints that you need to see is the Punta Pesebre viewpoint, located in Jandía, in the south of the island.
The big difference between this viewpoint and the others mentioned above is that it does not have a dizzying height.However, its views have nothing to envy from other destinations. At the Punta de Pesebre viewpoint you will be able to observe the best cliffs and coastal scenery in this part of the island.
9.La Entallada Lighthouse viewpoint
Just 6 km from the charming village of Las Playitas, in the municipality of Tuineje, you can enjoy the unforgettable views of the Faro de la Entallada viewpoint. There you can observe the majesty that stretches along the south coast of the island and take some beautiful photographs.
Moreover, this destination is the closest point to the African continent, only about 100 km away.
If you want to visit this spectacular viewpoint, take the FV-20 road, which can also take you to the village of Gran Tarajal.
10. La Pared viewpoint
This viewpoint is situated on the south coast of the island, on the tourist peninsula of Jandía. To reach the Mirador de La Pared and appreciate its desert views and the power of the Atlantic Ocean, please take the FV-617 road.
The Mirador de La Pared offers visitors the opportunity to appreciate the distinctive versatility of the island of Fuerteventura. The wild beauty of the landscape, framed by an arid environment, is enhanced by the island’s volcanic origins and the contrast provided by its crystalline waters.
11. Sicasumbre viewpoint
This is not only a viewpoint, but also an excellent place to observe the sky for astronomy lovers. Located in the municipality of Pájara, in the south of Fuerteventura, it has a parking area and various information panels.
During the day, you can marvel at the beautiful mountain scenery and, at night, you will have the opportunity to see the constellations Virgo, Boyero and Cuervo. It also has a sundial and the necessary supports for telescopes and cameras.
At night, this astronomical viewpoint in Fuerteventura will offer you an excellent place to observe the sky.
12. Viewpoint from the Calderón Hondo Volcano
In the municipality of La Oliva is one of the most beautiful viewpoints of Fuerteventura. The Calderón Hondo volcano is one of the best preserved volcanoes and has a crater with a depth of 70 metres.
To get to this viewpoint you must follow a route that is suitable for all ages, with properly signposted starting routes until you reach the summit.
13. Viewpoint of Degollada de Villa Norte
The Degollada de Villa Norte viewpoint is located at 591 metres above sea levels in the municipality of Betancuria. From this viewpoint you can see almost the entire northwestern part of the island, as well as villages and plains from an incredible perspective. You can see the villages of Valle de Santa Inés, Las Parcelas, Tefía, El Almácigo, Llanos de la Concepción and Ampuyenta.
